Compton Verney Art Gallery, Warwickshire
An award winning art gallery in Warwickshire. A little further than our other listings (about 45 mins by car) but most definitely worth a visit. Transformed from a derelict 18th century mansion into a gallery of international standing, Compton Verney offers a combination of high quality attractions and facilities. The project took ten years to complete and over twenty gallery spaces have been created. Canons Ashby House and Garden (National Trust), Canons Ashby
A tranquil house and garden first built by the Dryden family during the Elizabethan period, using stone from the Augustinian priory which previously occupied the site. The private church is all that remains of the priory.
